Sammy Morris

While our family was in the States we drove through Fort Wayne, IN and stopped to see the grave site of Sammy Morris.  If you have never read his story I would encourage you to do so.  You can get his biography for just cents on Amazon.  Sammy was a simple African boy, but he led more people to the Lord than most of us. His was a simple but real confidence in his God and a living, vibrant relationship with the Creator. Our oldest son sat spell-bound as we read through the book.

It is amazing that Sammy's story reach even to Guatemala, the Lord's ways are truly mysterious! May God Bless Guatemala that many more follow the example of beloved brother Sammy. One of Sammy's favorite hymns was "Are You Ready for the Bridegroom When He Comes" (Behold the Bridegroom).

I am 68 years old and lived in Fort Wayne my whole life.. have never heard the story of Samuel Morris until I stumbled across it on YouTube.. I was riveted to the story for the whole hour.. and cried and cried like a baby when the end came and I saw he died at such a young age! I was so incredibly sad.. so I looked up where he is buried here in lindenwood cemetery in Fort Wayne and I am going to go there and put flowers on his grave.. and go to upland to Taylor University and see the beautiful statues that they have on their campus and put flowers there also.. this young man from long long ago has made such an impression on my heart.. I am already a Christian and have been for a long time.. but his story is just so amazing how the holy Spirit worked in him for the short time he was here on this Earth and converted so many people! I was so blessed to see this today I will tell everybody about Samuel Morris..
